One Piece Chapter 1059 Recap
Marco is being dropped off by the Red Hair Pirates near Whitebeard's homeland of Sphinx.
He thanks Shanks for the ride, while the latter inquires as to whether the former has decided not to join his crew.
Marco joked that Shanks should stop dreaming because he is far too old and tired to continue babysitting for his crew.
Shanks laughed and told Marco that he wasn't such a jerk and that Beck should agree with him. Marco soon left, saying his final goodbyes to the Red Hair Pirates.
Marco also remembers a time in Wano when Yamato declined to join the Straw Hat Pirates.
Yamato chose not to join Luffy and his crew because of his attachment to Wanokuni. He informed everyone that Ryokugyu's attack made him realize that defeating Kaido would open the floodgates for more people like the Admiral to flood into the country.
Yamato cannot simply abandon them in this sense. Yamato also informed Luffy that, knowing the potential threats to Wano, neither of them would be at ease. Luffy accepted Yamato's explanation and told him it would be a relief.
In addition, Luffy requested that Yamato look after Momonosuke and the others. Zoro also warns Yamato to be cautious because Momonosuke has a lot of pride that he needs to be concerned about.
Yamato replied that he already knew that and that he'd find another reason to stay.
On the sidelines, Sanji is calling out Yamato's name.
Meanwhile, Marco calls out to Luffy and informs him that there is a ship nearby that will give him a lift.
Luffy told Marco that he never had the opportunity to thank him during the Summit War. Marco saved Luffy and instructed Jinbe to take Ace's brother and leave.
Marco and Jinbe recall that they all seemed ready to spring into action then, which makes them wonder why. Jinbe laughed it off and told Marco that he didn’t know why either.
Before Marco could leave, he congratulated Luffy and said Ace would be proud of how far he had come.
After that, Marco flew away, reflecting on how the present belonged to the younger generation.
Meanwhile, Gloriosa observes that the town of Amazon Lily is in disarray. This is the first time in their history that men have completely dominated them.
Hancock claims that the navy will not leave her alone as long as she is on Amazon Lily. But she has no idea where to go. Hancock's only thought is to go to Luffy and marry him, to which Gloriosa responds that she has always been like that.
A few weeks ago, the attacking Marines, led by Koby, decided to send out their new Pacifistas to take on the Kuja Pirates. The Kuja Pirates were having difficulty fighting back since the new Pacifistas took the form of children.
Blackbeard's ship appeared unexpectedly on the shores of Amazon Lily. There, Blackbeard built a Kaishin to successfully drive away the Marines.
Blackbeard walked out with Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot, laughing and acting arrogant.
Blackbeard then declared that he will not let the navy take Hancock's Love Love fruit power away from him.
Catarina Devon remarked on Hancock's beautiful face and how it will make an excellent trophy after she wrings her neck. Vasco Shot interjected and told Devon that she could have her way with Hancock after they took her powers.
On the other hand, Vice Admiral Yamakiji and his troops were attacked by Blackbeard. Before the HQ could issue the order to engage Blackbeard, the latter easily blew them all away.
As a result, Blackbeard forced his way onto the island and demanded that Hancock come out and surrender.
However, Koby, who was ahead of Blackbeard, invited Hancock to come with him and surrender, promising that the Marines would leave immediately if she agreed.
Hancock, on the other hand, was adamant about rejecting their arrogance. She yelled that their opponents were wasting their breath and that she would never submit to be the captive of another.
Simultaneously, Blackbeard received a call for assistance from his subordinates. He was shocked to see that his troops had been defeated by a Pacifista kid with white hair, brown skin, and black wings.
The young Pacifista possesses all of the characteristics of a Lunarian, as well as a sword capable of severing an island in half!
The Pacifista began attacking Blackbeard, much to his surprise. It forced Blackbeard to swallow everything in the Black Hole.
At the same time, Hancock decided to use Slave Arrow to frighten the Marines, including Helmeppo and Yamakiji.
Koby then ordered the Pacifista to stop attacking before he can smash the stone-turned marines. Before Hancock could use her Perfume Femur, Blackbeard managed to grab her by the neck, rendering her abilities ineffective.
Blackbeard recognized Hancock's abilities and informed her that he had been admiring her power for some time.
In response, Hancock smirked and boasted arrogantly that her beauty is what makes her power so formidable.
She also informed Blackbeard that whoever inherits her power will be unable to release them. Furthermore, if Blackbeard decides to kill Hancock, all of his forces will be immobilized indefinitely.
Blackbeard then turned to Koby, who informs him that they have reached a stalemate. Blackbeard also mentioned how Koby helped him out in Rocky Port by allowing him to depose Ochoku and take over as Pirate Island's ruler.
Following that, Blackbeard inquires about Koby releasing Hancock. After all, it will be difficult for him if the Marines remain fearful. Hancock replied that she would leave the island if he ever let her go.
On the other hand, Blackbeard is still confident that Hancock will simply petrify them all once he lets her go. He believes that no man can resist Hancock's allure and that they will lose the wager once Hancock is released.
At this point, Blackbeard is dead set on killing Hancock, which Koby strongly opposes.
To the surprise of Blackbeard and Koby, Silver Rayleigh appeared on the battlefield.
Rayleigh apologized to Hancock for arriving late, even though he knew the Marines were laying siege to the island.
While Koby exclaims Rayleigh's moniker, Blackbeard remarks that Rayleigh is Whitebeard's old apprentice and that he dislikes him.
Rayleigh then requested that Hancock release everyone who had been turned to stone and assured her that the incident would not escalate further. He also assured Hancock that he will not tolerate any nonsense on his watch.
At the moment, Hancock thanked Rayleigh for his assistance. Shakuyaku was revealed to be Rayleigh's companion and the former empress of Amazon Lily from two generations ago. She was also revealed to be the former Kuja Pirates Captain.
Shakuyaku warns everyone that with Vegapunk's sea stone paddle ships on the loose, the Calm Belt will no longer be safe.
Gloriosa also mentions how she thought they were doomed due to the navy's new weapons and Blackbeard's unexpected arrival.
Rayleigh remarked that they were fortunate because his previous reputation had saved them. He has, after all, grown old. Shakuyaku also believes that she will be defeated in a fight with Blackbeard.
Rayleigh concludes that the marines are using Pacifistas to replace the seven sea warlords with Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia.
The group also commented on how strange it was that one of them resembled Boa Hancock when she was only a kid.
On the other hand, word of Koby's kidnapping has spread. Koby, the hero of the Rocky Port Incident, has been kidnapped by Blackbeard, one of the four emperors! Unfortunately, his current status is unknown!
