One Piece Chapter 1,047 Recap
Yamato motivates Momonosuke, telling him that he can create the Flame Clouds needed. Momonosuke says he can't and remembers when his mother told him to travel through time with Kinemon and the others.
Momonosuke is crying, telling his mother that she and Hiyori should come with him. Kinemon convinces him to strengthen his resolve by reminding him of their principles as samurai.
Kaido is amused that Luffy could grab the lightning. Luffy throws the lightning bolt back at Kaido, but he dodges it and hits back.
Kaido says special abilities alone will not allow you to dominate the world. He hits Luffy and reveals Roger didn't have Devil Fruit powers. He says only Haki can be on top of everything.
After Kaido hits Luffy once again, Luffy grabs onto Kaido. Kaido tells him to let go and continues throwing attacks at him.
Meanwhile, at the Flower Capital, the Fire Festival is almost ending. The people of Wano continue to hope for the best.
In the Skull Dome, Hyogoro and the others are getting exhausted. However, Hyogoro motivates the others by saying if they survive, it means Kaido would have won. The samurai cheer for Luffy, not worrying about plummeting to their deaths if it means Luffy defeating Kaido.
In the basement, Usopp and the others are flooded by water while running away. Elsewhere, Orochi transforms after the Sea Prism stone nail gets loose.
While Momonosuke is still trying to stop Onigashima from crashing, Luffy calls for him. Yamato and Momonosuke are shocked to see Luffy's gigantic hand.
Luffy says he will finally put an end to it all but Onigashima's in the way. He tells Momonosuke to move it.

One Piece Chapter 1,048 Spoilers
Momonosuke is trying to move Onigashima so it won't clash with Luffy's attack. Meanwhile, Kaido changes form and becomes a fire dragon. His body is highly flammable.
Both Luffy and Kaido use new attacks against each other. The scene switches to the inside of the castle, where the samurai are.
Kawamatsu recalls the events after Oden's execution. In a flashback, Kaido learns Oden has a son and tries to come for him.
The chapter presents how Oden's castle burned down and how Wano's daimyo from 20 years ago teamed up to fight Orochi and Kaido. However, all of them were defeated, and the country fell.
The scene returns to the present, and a burning Orochi tries to take Komurasaki with him. However, Denjiro shows up and cuts his head off.
The wishes of the people of Wano are flying up, with some of these hopes wishing for Orochi's disappearance or freedom from the hell they're in.
The chapter ends with a continuation of Luffy and Kaido's face off.
