Ominous Daredevil Season 3 Poster Embraces Darkness

Matt Murdock is gone but the devil still lives on. The new status quo of Daredevil season 3 is quite the game changer for the guardian of Hell's Kitchen. Once again rocking his all-black attire with no armor in sight, Daredevil has seemingly abandoned his life as Matt Murdock to continue being a vigilante 24/7 but we still aren't sure why.

A new ominous poster for the Netflix series has been released and it continues Matt's descent into madness. Leaving behind his mask on a cross, the poster says also says "Let there be darkness," showing that Matt won't be seeing the light anytime soon. Or ever for that matter. He's blind, so he can't see.

Everyone's hoping that the third season tells us why he's changed so much. We know that he survives the building collapse at the end of Defenders and that he will likely meet his long-lost mother but not much else is known. Does meeting his nun of a mom change him for the better? Or does it actually make him worse?

Personal demons aside, Matt also has to contend with the returning Wilson Fisk, who hasn't been seen since the end of Daredevil season 1. There are also rumors that Bullseye could be showing up, which could mean that Karen Page will kick the bucket. Marvel doesn't always follow what the comics dictate but it would be one hell of a gut punch for Matt if he lost Karen.

Fans are still waiting for an official release date of Daredevil season 3. Netflix officials said that the series would be debuting later this year but fans are growing impatient. Still, considering the changes that will be made, it looks like the season will be worth the wait.

Daredevil season 1 and 2 can currently be streamed on Netflix.
