Official First Look Inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge expansion is set to open this weekend, and Disneyland Resort has given us an official look inside the park following the first guests.

We basically have three attractions that get highlighted in the video, the Droid Depot, Savi's Workshop (Handbuilt Lightsabers), and the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. I thought guests actually got to build 1:1 scale droids in the shop, but realistically they're smaller remote-controlled toys. The lightsabers look cool though, and it's said that they're "battle-ready", meaning you can start swinging them at your friends without being worried they'll fall apart.

One of the biggest attractions is the Smuggler's Run ride, and you can see that it requires everyone in the cockpit to do their own jobs when it comes to piloting the Falcon. It's even said that whatever the results of your mission, it will change your experience in the park. Success will have you branded as a notorious smuggler, and failure will have the troopers in the park looking for some criminal.

We also get a look at some of the other static attractions in Galaxy's Edge like the TIE Echelon, and some other Mos Eisley-esque stands. There's also a bunch of amazing animatronic aliens and droids, and it would've been cool if we could see more of them. The video doesn't give us a good look at the Cantina with alien food and drinks.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at the Disneyland Resort May 31.
