There is little doubt that people had a lot of expectations for Disney+ Day. For instance, fans were hoping that the first teaser for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be dropped during the event but it never came. Not surprisingly, upcoming Star Wars actor O'Shea Jackson Jr. is disappointed that the trailer wasn't released since he knew for a fact that it would feature him.
We already know that Obi-Wan Kenobi has wrapped production back in September so the upcoming Star Wars series already has enough footage for a trailer. When Disney+ Day was announced, fans were convinced that the show's first teaser will be unveiled during the event.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen and fans took to social media to express their disappointment. Interestingly, Jackson also tweeted about how he was looking forward to the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer because it would potentially reveal his character.
For now, Jackson's character in Obi-Wan Kenobi has not yet been revealed. However, the same thing can be said about all of the new cast members confirmed to appear in the series. Hopefully, we'll get a trailer for the highly anticipated Star Wars show before the end of the year.
Jackson is one of the cast members confirmed for the new series. He will be joined by Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, and Maya Erskine. Their roles have not yet been announced.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will bring back Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen as the Jedi-turned-Sith Lord Darth Vader. Star Wars prequel actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will reprise their roles as Owen and Beru Lars.
The new Star Wars series has not yet been given an official release date. However, Obi-Wan Kenobi is already expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
