Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Reportedly Bringing Back The Clone Wars Character as Main Villain

In case you missed it, Hayden Christensen has been confirmed to join the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi where he will reprise his role as Darth Vader. However, the Sith Lord isn't the only baddie who is set to appear in the Star Wars series. A new leak suggests that a character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars could play a villainous role in the Ewan McGregor show.

The information comes from the latest Kessel Run Transmissions live stream where it was suggested that Darth Vader is only one of the main villains who will appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The other baddies consist of a clone squad who will be led by none other than Commander Cody on a mission to track down the Jedi Master.

This is an awesome yet depressing idea considering that Cody worked with Obi-Wan during the Clone War. Sadly, he was also the one who tried to kill the Jedi when Order 66 was dropped although Cody failed to confirm that Obi-Wan was dead. With that in mind, it would make sense that he would be given the task to ensure the Jedi's capture.

We're loving the idea of Cody playing a larger, albeit villainous role in Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, it is also important to point out that Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet confirmed the character's appearance in the series. With that in mind, it is best to take this with a grain of salt.

What do you think of Cody showing up as one of the bad guys in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Sound off in the comments below.
