Obi-Wan Kenobi: Fans Turn Nostalgic Following Surprise Return of Star Wars Legend


Fans were undoubtedly thrilled to have Hayden Christensen back in the Star Wars franchise to play the sinister Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. However, a lot of intrigue surrounds the actor's role and many fans have been curious whether or not he actually voices the Sith Lord.

Well, the third episode of the hit Disney+ series pretty much confirmed that voice acting legend and Star Wars icon James Earl Jones has made his triumphant return to the galaxy far, far away to reprise his role as Darth Vader.

As soon as Vader uttered his first words in the series during a scene where he was speaking to Reva, fans instantly recognized Jones' iconic voice but some of them still needed confirmation. During Episode 3's credits crawl, it was revealed that Jones did in fact voice Vader much to the delight of the fandom.

Shortly after the episode premiered, diehard fans of the franchise took to Twitter to express their excitement over the return of the OG Vader, and some couldn't help but turn emotional. Check out some of the reactions below:

Lucasfilm made the right call of bringing back James Earl Jones for Obi-Wan Kenobi and let's face it, many voice actors can try and imitate his style but they'll never come close. And the fact that we're also getting Hayden inside the Vader suit? It's a major win for Star Wars fans the world over.
