Numan Acar Possibly Cast As Chameleon In Spider-Man: Far From Home

Marvel Studios has just added Numan Acar to the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home. A Turkish-born German actor, Acar has played roles in 12 Strong, Point Break, and Homeland.

According to a report by Deadline, Acar has just been cast in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, set to play Dimitri, a mysterious character that some believe to be a new villain for everyone's favorite web-slinger. Given the character's name, speculation has it that Acar's character might actually be the Marvel villain Chameleon, a baddie whose real name is actually Dmitri.

For those who aren't familiar with the character in the comic books, Chameleon is known as a master of disguise and a super-spy who can make a life-like mask of anyone he meets, making him a difficult villain to defeat. It'd definitely be interesting to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man go up against the Chameleon in his next standalone movie.

Of course, Acar isn't the only new baddie in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The actor will be joining Jake Gyllenhaal who is currently in talks to play Marvel's Mysterio. He'll also be joining JB Smoove who has just recently been cast in a major role in the film.

Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 5, 2018.
