Nova Reportedly Being Planned for Marvel Phase 5

We were introduced to the Nova Corps back in Guardians of the Galaxy, but after Avengers: Endgame, we still have no idea how Thanos left the planet. As it turns out, we could be finding out more about Richard Rider's story in the MCU as the hero is said to be one of the main heroes for Phase 5.

MCU Cosmic writes:

According to very reliable sources, Nova appears to be one of the big characters planned for a Phase 5 debut alongside Blade, The Fantastic Four, and the Mutants. And from the sound of things, and how it's been in development for a while, it could be relatively early in Phase 5 as well.

Of course, plans could still change for Marvel so we should just take this with a grain of salt. They had also announced an Inhumans movie before, and look where that franchise is.

With a lot of the main heroes bowing out of the MCU, it would make sense that Marvel would want to build an all-new Avengers roster. Not only are we going to be getting some new faces with Eternals and Shang-Chi, but Disney+ series like Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel are giving us some new faces as well. Imagine how crowded this universe will get once the Fantastic Four and the X-Men arrive on the scene.

If anything, we should expect huge involvement from every hero in the next Infinity War-type event. Admittedly Marvel Studios has pulled off one hell of a finale for a franchise, and I think it's best they take their time when it comes to what's next for the world.

Nova has not been officially announced, but you can catch Black Widow when it hits theaters on May 01, 2020.
