Ghost Rider is easily one of the characters fans have been dying to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while there hasn't been any confirmation on Marvel Studios' part about the long-rumored reboot, it's pretty safe to say that the fan-favorite character is headed to the MCU very soon. Now, a new rumor seems to suggest that Kevin Feige and his crew are already working on bringing the character to Earth-616.

According to a new scoop from tipster Charles Murphy of Murphy's Multiverse, Marvel Studios has already chosen the actor who will portray the beloved anti-hero in the billion-dollar franchise. However, Murphy claims that it's not The Matrix Resurrections star Keanu Reeves as previously speculated.

As it stands, the identity of the mystery actor has not been revealed but The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus' recent Twitter activity seems to suggest that he knows something about it. A motorcycle enthusiast, Reedus has long expressed his desire to become Ghost Rider in the MCU and his recently liked tweets have once again reignited speculation regarding his potential involvement in the franchise.

Apart from him liking the said scoop, the 52-year-old actor also liked several other tweets from fans who believe he's the perfect candidate to play Johnny Blaze in the upcoming reboot.

While the idea of Reedus playing the King of Hell sounds totally appealing, I would like to assume that the studio is looking for someone who's on the younger side. I mean, MCU contracts tend to be incredibly lengthy and Norman's age may end up being a major factor.

Meanwhile, Marvel's latest blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home is dominating cinemas worldwide.
