No More Avengers: Endgame Trailers Will Be Released

So far, we got two trailers and a few TV spots for Avengers: Endgame, but a brand new report claims that's all we're getting.

The folks over at We Got This Covered are claiming that the existing trailers will be the only footage that should get us by until the film's release next month because there won't be any.

This may not come as a surprise since Joe Russo himself said that they will only do limited marketing for Avengers: Endgame, comparing their approach to that of Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, which successfully kept that "I am your father twist" a secret, so that it will shock fans when they watch the movies in the cinema.

"We talked about all scales of marketing. The thing that's most important to us is that we preserve the surprise of the narrative," he told Empire.

"When I was a kid and saw The Empire Strikes Back at 11am on the day it opened, and sat there until 10pm watching it back to back to back, it so profoundly moved me because I didn't know a damn thing about the story I was going to watch. We're trying to replicate that experience," he went on to say.

Indeed, what was revealed in the Avengers: Endgame trailers were already heavily speculated or confirmed. The white suits they don at some point in the movie as well as Captain Marvel joining the fight were already common knowledge, but seeing it onscreen was still pretty crazy and exciting. Some of the footage might have even manipulated to add a layer of secrecy to the plot.

It looks like fans wouldn't mind getting no more footage anyway. A lot of them believe that they've seen enough and they want to go into the cinemas with little to know knowledge of what will happen in Avengers: Endgame,so that they get to enjoy the surprises, revelations, and the overall experience.

While there wasn't much to go on from what was given to fans, it was enough to get them excited so this limited marketing might actually be an advantage. This also means that there will totally be game-changing events in the movie.
