Fans Ask Marvel Not To Release Any More Avengers: Endgame Trailers

After the release of the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, fans don't want Marvel to release any more footage from the highly-anticipated film.

A lot of Reddit users seem to agree that there shouldn't be any more footage. They think it will be a better experience at least for them to not know much about the movie. It doesn't help that even trailers can give so much away. One such offender is apparently Thor: Ragnarok.

Understandably, anticipating what will happen after you've seen it in a trailer can make it hard to enjoy the surprises in the film. Sometimes, people like to go into it blind for a pure, unadulterated good time.

In the same way, there are people who like to gather as much information as possible to prepare themselves for what can come and to get as many clues and details in the film as they could.

With a movie like Avengers: Endgame, leaks and spoilers are everywhere. In fact, the white suits that Captain America and company were wearing in the trailer were already leaked on the internet a few weeks back.

Indeed, it will be difficult not to see spoilers. A big reason is that it is hard to resist not checking out new info. In addition, there will likely be a lot of TV spots that will include new footage or snippets. That's not even considering the promotional tours that the cast will go to that may be unexpected venues for a spoiler reveal by an actor. Sometimes a video thumbnail could still give it all away.

Truth be told, putting together a trailer is a balancing act. You have to make it interesting without showing a lot. Of course, Marvel knows not to give away too much, especially with a film like Avengers: Endgame.

The studio goes to great lengths to cover up plot details to the point that they digitally alter the trailer. Thor: Ragnarok once again comes to mind. Remember that little tweak to hide the fact that Thor lost his eye? Let's not get far--the Avengers: Infinity War trailer showed The Hulk was part of the Wakanda battle when in reality he wasn't.

It has been reported that the footage that will be used in Avengers: Endgame trailers will be pulled from just the first 20 minutes of the film. While this can come as a relief to some, that's still a lot if it will be anything like Infinity War. Either way, it is not like Marvel is going to deliberately let the cat out of the bag anyway.

It is unclear if there will be a new trailer for Avengers: Endgame although as the April 26 release draws closer, fans should expect to see more.
