It looks like the DC Extended Universe is getting a major addition. There have been speculations that Nightwing will be making his live-action DCEU debut soon. In addition to that, the role may have already been offered to Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien!
There is little doubt that people are loving the idea of Nightwing showing up in the DCEU. It would be even better if he was played by an actor who could nail the wit and attitude of Dick Grayson. So it's no surprise that Dylan O'Brien's name always comes up when people are fancasting the role of the comic book hero.
But what are the chances that Warner Bros. is actually considering the idea of casting Dylan O'Brien as Nightwing? It looks like the studio has already offered the role to the Love and Monsters actor!
O'Brien certainly seems like the perfect guy for the role considering that he's known for playing characters similar to Dick. In addition to that, he has proven he has no problem with action scenes with his roles in the Maze Runner films and American Assassin. With that in mind, it would be great to finally see Nightwing in the DCEU.
We're loving the idea of O'Brien actually playing Dick Grayson in a live-action DC project. However, it is important to remember that Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed whether Nightwing will be joining the DCEU soon. Nevertheless, we will be waiting for an official announcement soon. Nightwing was previously played by Brenton Thwaites in the Titans series. It is still unclear if Thwaites will continue to play Dick Grayson in the future or if another actor will be brought in to portray the character.
