Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 Trailer Brings Together Nicktoons Like Spongebob, Zim, Aang, and Korra

Ever since Mario Kart, wacky racing has always been a fun genre for games, and characters from Sonic the Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot have had their own racing spinoffs. Just in Nickelodeon is jumping in on the wacky racing and we have a new trailer for Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2.

Here's the official description:

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is ready to help players indulge in all their ‘90s nostalgia as players race around the slime-covered tracks as famous Nickelodeon cartoon characters like Spongebob Squarepants, Chucky from Rugrats, Arnold from Hey Arnold, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many more.

Though a lot of the characters are for kids, the game is clearly trying to pander to a more mature audience as well with addition of characters like Aang from The Last Airbender and even Korra from The Legend of Korra. You'll also recognize faces like Invader Zim as well as Heffer from Rocko's Modern Life. Even Stimpy from Ren & Stimpy is a playable character.

While I don't expect this game to be the next big thing, it's pretty cool that we get a return of some well-loved characters from the network. Hopefully with enough traction we can finally get an Avatar game off the ground.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 – Grand Prix is set to be available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 this coming October.
