Sources told Globe Magazine, in its latest edition, suggested that the Hail Mary of Tom Brady was too little, too late to save his 13-year marriage with Gisele Bundchen. The NFL superstar had allegedly tried “to make things work” and was “really trying to fix” the situation at home.

An unnamed insider told the entertainment news outlet that Gisele Bundchen had already grown weary of waiting for Tom Brady to put family first. It added:

“She gave him a lot of opportunities to fix things, and he didn’t.”

Another informant said the minute Tom Brady reneged on his vow to retire from football, the storybook romance was toast. It furthered:

“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family – then he changed his mind.”

A source close to Tom Brady told People that before he and Gisele Bundchen finalized their divorce, the superstar quarterback was prepared to do “whatever it took to make things work.” It also claimed that it was not the NFL star’s idea, adding:

“[Tom Brady] wanted to do whatever he needed to do to fix things [with Gisele Bundchen because he] didn't want the divorce, and he didn't want the marriage to end. [He was] willing to go to therapy, marriage counselling — whatever it took to make things work."
