For years, there's been a new trend in superhero movies where fans pore on every single frame for hidden Easter Eggs. And while we usually get hints at things onscreen, a new Easter Egg for Joker has been found via the subtitles of the digital release.
Check it out:
With Joker making its connection to the comic world minimal, I have a feeling that this detail was something that wasn't really thought out. If anything, it could just be some strange coincidence. Then again, I like to think that someone working the subtitles for this film was a fan of the comics, and tried to introduce even just one Easter Egg on his own without causing too much suspicion.
For now, Doctor Fate is said to be playing a major part in the upcoming Black Adam movie starring Dwayne Johnson, and he's going to make his onscreen debut alongside characters like Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and the Justice Society of America. We don't really know what his involvement will be, but since Fate is considered one of the more powerful beings in the DCEU, I hope they make good use with his involvement.
As for Joker, the movie has come out to be a surprise hit, and everyone is almost sure that DC is now more confident in pushing forward with their "DC Black" label. We don't know what next film would be in line, but I'm hopeful we can get more of these "Elseworlds" stories in the future. How does a live-action Superman: Red Son sound?
Joker is now available on digital.
