After Watchmen, HBO is set to come back to their next big show, Westworld. The third season premieres this March, and we have a new trailer giving us a good look at the new characters as well as returning ones.
While the story of Aaron Paul's character has remained a mystery this whole time, the trailer points out that Paul is playing someone who is a victim of the system, and he teams up with Dolores, to possibly bring down the new enemy of the show, Incite—a data mining company that supposedly tracks down your career path based on your virtual presence.
What's more, it looks like the season will be pitching Maeve against Dolores, with Maeve being recruited by Vincent Cassel's character, who I assume is the man behind Incite. It will be interesting to see the two clash, seeing that both are major players that can ‘break' the system, but they each have their own agendas.
As for William, I assume he's stuck somewhere, but I'm not too deep into the analyses to make a logical guess.
While the first season of Westworld was well-received, a lot of people have pointed out how confusing the second season was. Hopefully, with the third season, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy give us a narrative that's easier to follow, but at the same time engaging. The world seems to just keep expanding with each season, so I'm excited to finally go out and see the human world after two seasons of being stuck in the park.
Westworld Season 3 returns to HBO on March 15.
