New The Rise of Skywalker Spot Highlights the Jedi Cameos from the Final Duel

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was filled to the brim with callbacks, and the final duel had what is probably the franchise's biggest cameo gathering with almost every Jedi coming back to give Rey support. With Lucasfilm now promoting the home release of TROS, we have a new spot covering all the Jedi cameos in the climax.

While the trailer doesn't cover every Jedi voice cameo, we do have images from the Jedi that appeared in live-action. What's more, we also have the audio clearer and more isolated, so we can hear clearly who's speaking and what they're saying.

Personally, I was happy that the Jedi were able to come back and lend their voices in the end, but I think it would have looked more fantastic if the Force ghosts were there. Then again, maybe I'm just too stuck in the rumor that came out that the actors had also filmed actual cameos in costume, but were cut out because Disney was afraid they would upset China because they have a rule about not showing ghosts in films. Either way, it's great that the likes of Samuel L. Jackson and Liam Neeson were open to come back to the franchise, even for just a little bit.

For now, Disney is focused on home releases for the films, what with the delay of their theatrical releases for the next few months. As for the next Star Wars property, The Mandalorian 2 was able to wrap before the crisis, so hopefully it comes out on time in October.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now available in digital and hits Blu-Ray/DVD on March 31.
