I think most fans tend to overlook the fact that the Star Wars franchise has also dominated the world of video games for years and quite frankly, they continue to do so. As it stands, Star Wars has been on a massive roll as of late with upcoming games like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and potential Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 in the works. It was also announced that a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is set for a long-overdue remake.

Apparently, there's more where that came from because according to the latest rumors, Disney is set to unveil a brand new video game soon. Insider and leaker Tom Henderson recently reported that Quantic Dream, the developer responsible for games like Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, and Fahrenheit is set to release an alleged Star Wars game. Henderson claims that a teaser has already been made and they're just waiting for Disney's official approval.

Details about the alleged video game remain scarce as of the moment but I gotta say, the timing couldn't have been more perfect as Lucasfilm is riding a huge wave of momentum thanks to the success of their Disney+ offerings. Star Wars' High Republic comics also seem to be doing extremely well. I guess we'll just have to see for ourselves if the rumors are actually legitimate and hope that this upcoming game will at least be on the same level as titles such as Fallen Order and BattlefrontII.

In other news, Star Wars Visions is now streaming on Disney+.
