Anakin and Luke Skywalker might be some of the strongest Force users that Star Wars fans know but there's a fan theory going around saying that Obi-Wan Kenobi might actually be stronger.

According to a new post on the Star Wars r/FanTheories subreddit, Obi-Wan Kenobi may have actually been the strongest Force User in the franchise. The theory tries to reason out why Anakin Skywalker's master might have been the most powerful yet underrated player in the game, pointing out at the successes of the Jedi Knight.

The fan theory takes note of how Obi-Wan was able to kill Darth Maul after his master was slain by the villain. It takes note of how the Jedi Knight was the only one to sense that Anakin wasn't ready for the mission to protect Padme.

"Yoda tells Kenobi that he 'is not powerful enough' to face the Emperor towards the end of the film (Revenge of the Sith). Yoda was stuck in the dogmatic Jedi ways and couldn't fathom that a pupil could be more powerful than him. Palpatine knew it," the theory goes on.

It then points out how Obi-Wan was the very first known Jedi to achieve immortality by the end of A New Hope.

Some might disagree over the declaration that Obi-Wan is the strongest Force user known in the franchise, but one thing is for sure, the Jedi Knight sure has his fans. There might not be a specific standard in judging the power levels of a Force User, but from a certain point of view, Obi-Wan could be the strongest Force User.

What do you think? Do you agree with the fan theory?
