Star Wars fans may be anticipating official Star Wars: Episode IX news at this year's Star Wars Celebration, but it looks like rumors about the third and final film in the sequel trilogy continue making the rounds online. One of the latest leaks taken from Episode IX adds to the hopes of those shipping Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) together – a pairing who's popularity has increased since Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Not only that but the leak also potentially reveals a horrifying new character going by the name "The Oracle," a terrifying beast that might fit more in a horror movie than a Star Wars entry.
According to a leak by Redditor u/JediPaxis (a moderator of the Star Wars Leaks subreddit who has shared accurate information in the past), a "trusted" source says that Kylo Ren will continue to struggle in choosing between the Light and Dark Side in Episode IX. The new Supreme Leader of the First Order is also aware of how he is in "love" with Rey, and according to the source, Kylo Ren will attempt at fixing their relationship in the movie.
Kylo Ren will also meet "The Oracle" a creature described as an alien parasite sitting on the head of a giant sleeping baby.
Created using puppetry and other methods of practical effects, "The Oracle" sounds like a rather frightening concept, one that lines up with previous leaks for Episode IX. Right not we're not quite sure whether Kylo seeks out the creature or whether he's "summoned" to it, we'll have to wait and see.
Star Wars: Episode IX is set for release on December 20, 2019.
