New Star Wars Comic Hints at Film Franchise Returning to High Republic Era

Earlier this month, new reports started suggesting that Lucasfilm's new set of Star Wars movies would return to the "High Republic," an era set roughly 400 years before the events of the very core Star Wars films.

Now, it seems like a Star Wars comic seems to hint at a return to that era as well.

According to a report by Screen Rant, a major reference to the High Republic is made in the brand new comic Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #2. In the comic book, readers get to see Luke Skywalker, Ben Solo, and Lor San Tekka looking for a Jedi Outpost. Tekka says that this outpost is one positioned "so far outside the core," that it might have probably come from "The High Republic Era....a time of greatly expanded Jedi activity throughout the galaxy."

This little discussion about the "High Republic" might not seem like much, but the mention about Jedi activity does seem to echo the reports that say the next set of Star Wars films are going to focus on Jedi adventures from The High Republic Era.

Right now, fans are keen on knowing what Lucasfilm has prepared for the franchise. Now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is finally out screening in cinemas, fans are eagerly looking forward to what the studio has planned next.

Lucasfilm hasn't made any announcements as of yet, but everyone seems to be keen on the idea that Star Wars return to the "High Republic Era."
