New She-Hulk Leak Reveals An Appearance from Unusual Marvel Villain

Recently, Marvel and Disney+ finally released the highly-anticipated trailer for the upcoming MCU series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law which will introduce Bruce Banner's cousin Jennifer Walters' transformation into the titular hero in the MCU. While most of the plot details are under wraps, we do know that it will feature appearances of several Marvel characters due to the show's legal procedural format.

According to The Cosmic Circus, a "porcupine man" is set to make an appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The character is speculated to be Porcupine, who made his first appearance in the comics on Tales to Astonish #48 created by Stan Lee and Don Heck. However, they didn't provide any more details regarding how the character will play into the story and whether the character will have the same backstory as the comics.

In case you're not familiar with the character, it has two known versions: Alexander Gentry and Roger Gocking. The former was originally a scientist who worked for the United States Army. He designed a porcupine-looking battle suit and quill-like projections for defense. It can shoot its quills, gases, flames, chemicals, paralysis-inducing pellets, or weapons from quill-like tubes. The latter took over the mantle in Daughters of the Dragon #3 in 2006.

Porcupine is certainly an unusual choice given how wacky the character looks. However, given that Frog-Man is going to appear in the series, there is now a bar set for someone like Porcupine to show up in the series as well and it would be interesting how much they are going to adapt the character to the screen.

We do have to take note that this information has not been confirmed yet by Marvel so we still have to take it with a grain of salt although the outlet has been mostly reliable when it comes to insider scoops. Either way, we will find out in just a few months whether Porcupine is indeed going to make his MCU debut soon and how he will quill his way into the story.
