New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Featurette is All About the Creatures

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in a couple of weeks, and the promotional machine behind it has reached Hyperspace. In addition to the plethora of TV spots, trailers, images, and clips, Lucasfilm has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette that puts the creatures of the film on the spotlight. The featurette includes commentary by director Gareth Edwards, creature effects supervisor Neal Scanlan, and stars Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso) and Alan Tudyk (K-2SO). It shows the incredible amount of practical effects they used to bring the creatures to life. We also caught a glimpse of the character that Warwick Davis is playing

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters on December 16, 2016.
