New Resident Evil: Vendetta Trailer Teases The Return of Familiar Characters

With Resident Evil 7 bringing the franchise's survival horror roots back, the latest CG film is heading the opposite direction.

The next CG film for the franchise is called Resident Evil Vendetta, and it's clearly more in line with the action packed zombie slaying carnage of Resident Evil 6. A new trailer has been released and it features familiar characters like Leon Kennedy, Rebecca Chambers and Chris Redfield. The film directed by Takanori Tsujimoto from a script by Makoto Fukami looks promising. I think the CG Resident Evil films have been more enjoyable than the live-action films, so I have high expectations for this third installment of the franchise. The trailer gives us a closer look at the villain, Glenn Arias, a death merchant who is on a mission of vengeance from spreading a new deadly virus known as "The Trigger Virus" in New York Cty. Resident Evil: Vendetta will be released in Japanese theaters on May 27, 2017.
