The new Pokémon anime premiered on Netflix in March, though only 12 episodes were released. Finally, fans in the US will get more, as new Pokémon Horizons episodes will be released on Netflix in May.
These new episodes were confirmed to be available on Netflix in the US in a recent report by Anime News Network.
There, it was confirmed that the show’s second part will finally get an official release, likely with an English dub.
All You Need to Know about Pokémon Horizons on Netflix
Pokémon Horizons is the latest anime in the long-running franchise, and it premiered in Japan back in April 2023. It got a lot of attention for being the first anime series in the franchise to not star Ash Ketchum.
Instead, this series features Liko as the first female main protagonist for a Pokémon TV anime.
What’s more, the series also has a unique adventure story in the first couple of arcs instead of the typical structure of the previous shows.
It took over a year, but Netflix US finally released Pokémon Horizons in the US on March 7, 2024. As with previous releases, Horizons on Netflix came with the official English dub.
The release schedule wasn’t one episode per week though. Instead, the first 12 episodes were released on Netflix on the same day.
As for fans in the UK, the anime was released a bit earlier on BBC iPlayer, and it is currently ahead of the US in terms of available episodes.
Meanwhile, the show is already in its third arc titled the Terastal Debut arc, which features a school setting.

Pokémon Horizons Is Finally Getting New Episodes in May
Finally, Pokémon Horizons is getting new episodes on Netflix, so fans in the US can continue watching the series officially.
In Anime News Network’s report, it was revealed that part 2 of the series will be available beginning May 10, 2024.
It’s not clear how many episodes will be released though, as there was no info given on how long part 2 will be.

As the anime’s first 12 episodes were released in March in the US, another 12 episodes may be released in May.
There’s also a chance that the rest of the first arc’s episodes will be released. As the first arc consists of 25 episodes, the upcoming release may consist of 13 episodes instead.
