New MCU Rumor Suggests Absolute Absence of Inhumans in Phase 4

When Ms. Marvel was announced for Phase 4, Marvel fans initially anticipated that the Disney+ show will serve as the debut of the Inhumans. Sadly, Marvel Studios completely disregarded Kamala Khan's Inhumans origins from the source material by introducing her instead as the first MCU mutant.

This massive modification encountered an adverse reaction from the fans, even blaming Marvel President Kevin Feige for seemingly ignoring the group of superhumans. If that's not disappointing enough, it seems that the Inhumans won't have any appearances at all in Phase 4.

In a recent Twitter post by MyTimeToShineHello, the account proclaimed that the fan-beloved Inhumans won't have a part in next year's Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. See the official tweet below:

Ms. Marvel could have been the perfect opportunity to introduce the Inhumans into the MCU, however, with the massive alteration to the titular character, it looks like Kamala would instead play a substantial part in introducing the mutants in the expanding franchise.

While the X-Men's fate in the MCU is almost too certain, it's hard not to wonder what Marvel Studios' plans are for the Inhumans. Despite Anson Mount's return as Black Bolt in the recent MCU milestone Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's safe to say that his inclusion was only due to adding more anticipation to the film.

Following Ms. Marvel's jaw-dropping conclusion, fans are still optimistic that The Marvels would somehow still connect to the Inhumans. If this rumor is indeed factual, this implies that the Inhumans wouldn't play a key role in Phase 4. Aside from that, if the Inhumans won’t have a part in The Marvels, where else could they appear?

The Inhumans are a group of human beings who are the result of genetic experiments by the extraterrestrial race known as Kree, granting them superhuman abilities. Hopefully, Phase 5 would still give the faction of superhumans a monumental debut.

Ms. Marvel is available to stream on Disney+, while The Marvels will premiere on July 28, 2023
