The X-Men, once Marvel's most beloved franchise, has been treated as the comic line's redheaded stepchild for a while now. This was mostly due to Fox having the rights to the X-Men film license but that should be ending now that Disney has bought the company and made the movie industry less diverse. On the bright side, we get to see The X-Men in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.
While we already saw characters like Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Storm, a new trailer has decided to put the spotlight on Marvel's merry band of mutants. Not only are these three characters playable in the game but it was also confirmed that Psylocke would be playable, using a number of cool swords and psychic moves.
If that wasn't enough to please fans, they also confirmed boss fights with Magneto, Mystique, and The Juggernaut. It's really nice to see The Brotherhood of Mutants in a prominent role and fighting them looks like a ton of fun. There's also a segment where the player can do nothing but run away from Juggernaut since nothing can stop him.
However, the most interesting part of this trailer is how it ends. The Black Order demand Magneto to return an Infinity Stone. He refuses and seemingly teams up with our heroes, possibly confirming that the long-time X-Men villain is going to be playable. Awesome.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order comes out on July 19.
