A lot of fans have been anticipating the release of the third season of The Mandalorian, especially since it's been more than two years since the second season aired and around a year since The Book of Boba Fett had its run. Based on the promos and trailers that they released so far, it also looks like it is going to be its most epic season yet.
As we're now just less than two months away from the third season arriving on Disney+, fans are also wondering when we will get to see the next trailer for the season. Now, we finally have the date and it sounds like it is coming very soon.
Disney and ESPN have announced that the brand-new trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian will premiere during the ESPN NFL Super Wild Card Game this Monday, January 16. The trailer will exactly arrive around the game's halftime.
This is certainly exciting for fans since a lot of them want to find out more about the season and see more glimpses of what they have in store for what looks to be its biggest season yet in terms of scope and scale. It is also a sign that they are officially ramping up their promotional campaign.
The third season's synopsis reads: "The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together."
Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, and Amy Sedaris are returning. They will be joined by Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are showrunning the series once again.
