New Magic: The Gathering Companion Cards From Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths Revealed

Wizards of the Coast has revealed the crazy new Magic: The Gathering mechanics that will be featured in the upcoming expansion, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, and one of them is called Companion. A creature with a Companion ability will let you play the card from outside the game like how you play a Commander card from a seperate zone as long as you meet the required Companion condition of the card.

WotC has revealed two of the cards with Companion cards: "Keruga, the Macrosage" and "Lutri, the Spellchaser". Check them out the first two cards with Companion they revealed during the stream:

Wizards went on to say that "Lutri, the Spellchaser" is banned in both Commander and Brawl.

Note that you can still play Companion cards as part of your 60-card deck, and just ignore the Companion part of the ability, so you can play Keruga in the decks that contains only cards with converted mana cost three or greater and land cards.

What do you think about these two Companion cards from Ikoria?

Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is officially scheduled to be released on May 15 (rescheduled release day).
