New Kingdom Season 2 Trailer Teases a Bigger Problem than Zombies

The second season of Kingdom is finally coming to Netflix and it looks like we're getting more zombies. However, the new trailer for the South Korean series may have revealed that there's a bigger problem to deal with than the undead.

The trailer opens with an ominous message: "Heaven gave no blessing to this nation. How is this not a tragedy?" There's a good reason for this observation: The zombies that originally only attacked at night are now active during the daytime. Nevertheless, Crown Prince Lee Chang is undeterred as he is determined to "stop them at all costs."

In the previous season, the Prince and his friends were trapped by the undead but the trailer reveals that he is back at the palace and seems to be in command. Unfortunately, there's still something standing in his way and this could be an even bigger problem than zombies. Queen Consort Cho appears to be getting more power-hungry as she shares her deadly plans: using the undead to gain more power.

It's supposed to be a zombie show but there is little doubt that the living are even more dangerous. The Queen Consort has now taken the throne and is refusing to step down. In addition to that, the Prince has to deal with Minister Cho Hak-ju, who still wants Lee Chang out of the way. Can Seo-bi find a cure in time to help the Prince or are they doomed to lose?

Kingdom Season 2 stars Ju Ji-hoon, Bae Doona, and Ryu Seung-ryong. The series will return on Netflix on March 13.
