“BXB aims to portray various feelings associated with youth — joy, sadness, love, anger and jealousy — through its music and leave an impression on the public,” WOLFBURN said in a statement, per Korea JoongAng Daily.

They held pre-debut promotions as APR Project and released its project, Youth Trilogy. Sadness, Beginning, Flight was released on June 6, 2022.

What Happened to TRCNG?

Before BXB’s debut, four of its members first debuted under TS Entertainment in 2017.

TRCNG, an acronym for Teen Rising Champion in a New Generation, debuted with the EP New Generation on Oct. 10, 2017. It originally introduced 10 members, but Wooyeop and Taeseon left in Nov. 2019 when they filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against the label for extortion, assault, alleging abuse, and violations of child welfare legislation.

The parents of the remaining members — Jihun, Hayoung, Hakmin, Jisung, Hyunwoo, Siwoo, Kangmin and Hohyeon — filed a countersuit for allegedly spreading false information. In 2021, TS Entertainment deleted the group’s website and did not share its plans with them.

On March 28, 2022, the label officially announced TRCNG’s disbandment after the members’ contracts ended.

Before its split, the boy group was able to release EP New Generation and four single albums — Who Am I, Spectrum, Game Changer and Rising.
