New Game of Thrones Theory Speculates How Jon Snow Could Discover His True Parentage

Winter is coming in the seventh season of Game of Thrones, and when it premieres in less than two weeks, we're getting closer to see Jon Snow discover his true parentage. In the last season, Bran learned in his vision to the past that Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, which was a fan theory already confirmed after decades of speculations. However, Jon Snow still doesn't know that he's actually not Ned Stark's bastard. Now, a new fan theory speculates how Jon Snow will find out about his parentage.

Fans are expecting Jon Snow to learn about his parentage in Season 7, and you can find dozens of theories online, but the latest one came from a fan who shared his theory at the Game of Thrones fan convention, Con of Thrones. As TIME reports, the theory claims that Jon Snow will know that he's a Targaryen through the dragons of Daenerys. YouTuber Rawrist explains:

"How cool would that be for the dragons to recognize [Jon]. He's a dragon seed at the very least — he has Targaryen blood in him. If he went to the dragons and one of the dragons came to him — especially [Rhaegal], the one named after his biological dad — and the dragon recognizes him and bows its head and lets him get on it…"

This would be an emotional moment for Jon Snow, but it would seem like a stretch for him to instantly realize that he's a Targaryen based on how the dragons respond to him, yet this lines up nicely with the theory which discusses the three heads of the Dragon, which claims that the three dragons will be mounted by three rightful people. Daenerys is the first, and the other two are speculated to be Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow.

What do you think about this fan theory?

Game of Thrones Season will premiere on July 16, 2017, Sunday on HBO.
