New Game of Thrones Season 8 'Aftermath' Teaser Reveals the Destruction of Winterfell

Fight for the living.

Avengers: Endgame isn't the only thing dropping trailers today. HBO has just given us a new Aftermath teaser for Game of Thrones Season 8, and it gives us a look at what's left of Winterfell after the attack of the army of White Walkers.

You can see that the teaser has a lot of hints at some characters. Besides seeing the Stark banner all torn up, we also see the pendant for the Hand of the King, plus Arya's Needle in the snow. We also have Bran's wheelchair all broken up and battered plus Jon's sword longclaw and bloody.

I also didn't catch it on the first watch, but you can also spot Jaime Lannister's fake hand as well as a necklace that could be Sansa's.

While I don't think any of those characters will die in the last season, I have no doubt there's going to be some serious consequences (i.e., someone might get disfigured or maimed). With all the main characters coming together in the end, it's hard to think that their deaths will come as a surprise just like they did with the other Stark's like Ned, Catelyn, or Rob.

Oddly enough, there are no hints of what would be left of Daenerys' Targaryen army. There's nothing to hint at the Unsullied or any of her dragons. If anything, the Hand of the King badge could be Tyrion's, but that thing was silver. The one in this teaser is a bit brown.

There's a lot of hype building on the final season of one of HBO's largest shows. Catch the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 8 on HBO April 14.
