New Fullmetal Alchemist Trailer Gives A Closer Look at The Allies & Villains

Hiromu Arakawa's epic anime/manga series Fullmetal Alchemist is finally getting the live-action adaptation it deserves, and fans are excited to see that the previews are embracing the anime's roots. Warner Bros. Japan has released a new trailer that introduce some of the film's main characters, including allies like Roy Mustang and Hawk, and the villainous homonculi Lust, Envy, and Gluttony. However, there are no signs of the other members of the villainous team like Greed, Wrath, Pride, and Sloth.

Check out VizMedia's synopsis below:

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical "auto-mail" limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother's bodies...the legendary Philosopher's Stone.

Fullmetal Alchemist will be released in Japanese theaters on December 1.
