The Rebuild of Evangelion film series may be over, but that won’t stop new EVA merch from being created. While there are lots of merch to choose from, these Evangelion earbuds might just be the best as they look like actual EVA parts.

This special true wireless earbuds (TWS) collection is a collaboration between Neon Genesis Evangelion and final, a Japanese brand specializing in hi-fi audio devices.

Though released previously in Japan, EVA fans with deep wallets can still get their hands on these, provided they’re willing to get them shipped from Japan.

Evangelion Teams Up With final for TWS Earbuds Collection

Of course, while AirPods are the default option for Apple users, there are numerous wireless earbuds to choose from. And for the biggest EVA fans, this special Neon Genesis Evangelion collection by final is a must-have.

Specifically, the TWS earbuds line initially featured three designs which are based on Shinji Ikari's EVA Unit-01, Asuka Soryu’s Unit-02, and Kaworu Nagisa’s Mark.06.

Soon after the release of this first set, two more color options were released, with the first being a white-and-blue set patterned after Rei Ayanami's plugsuit.

Finally, there’s a Type-NERV version with a black and red color scheme.

While these earbuds look straight out of an EVA Unit, they all have the same specs and features.

Perhaps the coolest feature is that they feature voice lines by Miki Nagasawa, the voice of NERV’s Maya Ibuki.

final x Evangelion Earbuds Price and Availability Details

In Japan, this collection of TWS earbuds was initially released in July 2020, with only the first three designs being available. Soon, the Rei and NERV models were also released.

Each pair of earbuds is priced at JPY 19,800 (around USD 141), though given the series’ popularity, the earbuds are currently sold out on the official website.

For fans who want to get their hands on one, the earbuds are still available in Japanese retailers such as Amazon. But right now, there’s no word on official English retailers.

Despite this, the fact that the earbuds have English language support is a nice touch, meaning EVA fans outside of Japan can still enjoy these if they’re willing to have them shipped from Japan.
