We're now a little over a month away from the premiere of Eternals and we're finally getting more promos for the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. This means awesome new footage from the movie and the latest promo offers a glimpse at Phastos' adorable family.
It's already been confirmed that Phastos will be the first openly gay MCU character complete with a husband and children. The new promo actually features a brief shot of Phastos' husband and puts the highlight on their superhero-loving child.
In the teaser, Phastos' son Jack recognizes Ikaris, who has come to visit them along with Sersi. "Dad, I saw him on TV with a cape shooting laser beams!" the little boy tells Phastos. Ikaris isn't particularly impressed with the details. "I don't wear a cape," he tells Jack.
It's a hilarious moment but also a sweet glimpse at how Phastos' family clearly doesn't know he is as powerful as Ikaris. However, it's possible they do know about Phastos' ability but haven't seen him in action yet. Needless to say, they're in for a huge surprise later in November.
Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao and it boasts of an all-star cast including Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Black Knight, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena. The film is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
