New Development Photos for Disney's Star Wars Theme Park: Galaxy's Edge

If you think Disney was only milking Star Wars for box office supremacy then you're not thinking big enough. Besides the merchandising, and book deals, Disney is now working on a full Star Wars theme park called Galaxy's Edge. The park is set to open next year, but some development photos have found their way online.

As a fan of starships, probably the things that got most of my attention were the life-sized X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon interior. We don't know exactly how many will be in the park, but I would absolutely love to walk inside one of the Falcons that they built for the films—complete with decorated interior.

Besides the ships, the park also promises to bring a lot of other great things. No doubt there are going to be some thrilling rides, but there are also going to be some themed restaurants, great exhibits, and probably some live shows from costumed park performers.

With the park still underway, we should expect some more teasers to come out online over the next few months. I bet the biggest announcement will be during Star Wars Celebration next year.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is set to open to the public summer of 2019 in California's Disneyland Resort, and fall of the same year in Florida's Disney World.
