Jeremy Renner has suffered numerous injuries after a snowplowing accident in his home on New Year's Day. The Marvel Cinematic Universe actor has since been taken to the hospital where he underwent several procedures before being placed in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.
According to TMZ, Jeremy Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries while he was plowing the road about a quarter mile from his Tahoe home. Renner was reportedly trying to get his family out after a massive New Year's Eve storm. However, the Snowcat accidentally ran over one of Renner's legs and the injury was causing major blood loss.
As it turns out, Renner may have been hit in the chest while trying to control the Snowcat. However, the injury to his leg was the more serious of the ones he incurred during the accident.
Luckily, one of Renner's neighbors was a doctor who was able to put a tourniquet on his leg and assist until the Hawkeye actor was brought to the hospital.
The cause of the accident is still unknown. However, Renner's Snowcat has been towed and impounded while authorities intend to investigate the matter further. Sources claim that the machine has extensive safety features, and should not have rolled over Renner.
For now, it is unclear if Jeremy Renner has recovered from his injuries but his condition has been stabilized. Still, fans are understandably concerned about how the injury will affect the Avengers: Endgame star's career. Renner's representatives have yet to issue a statement on the matter.
Jeremy Renner is best known for playing Clint Barton in the Marvel films starting from 2011's Thor. He recently reprised the role in the Disney+ limited series Hawkeye. Renner has also appeared in The Bourne Legacy and two Mission: Impossible films with Tom Cruise. He has two Oscar nominations under his belt, for The Hurt Locker and for The Town.
