It will still be a long wait for the new Syfy series based on the graphic novel Deadly Class. However, Rick Remender is clearly excited about the upcoming adaptation of his comic book and has released a new teaser image for the show.
Remender shared the new photo on his official Twitter account. The image features the characters as illustrated by Wes Craig alongside their live-action counterparts. Take a look at the picture below.
The new poster could just be the first of more images that will be released in the near future. Remender is evidently eager to get people talking about the Syfy series, which has not yet been given an official release date. Hopefully, we'll learn more about Deadly Class soon.
Deadly Class will follow Marcus (newcomer Benjamin Wadsworth), a young orphan who enrolls in a school of assassins. With the help of Master Lin (Benedict Wong), he begins training in the deadly arts.
The series also stars X-Men: Apocalypse actress Lana Condor as Saya, Fringe alum Liam James, and Henry Rollins as Jürgen Denke.
The show was created by Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo so it's truly something to look forward to. Joe previously described the comic book series as "one of the more twisted coming-of-age stories we've ever read." The director said that "it does an amazing job of exploring teenage years and the sense of alienation that you feel." He admitted that he and Anthony "were blown away" when they first read it so they decided to turn it into a show.
