New Characters for The Witcher Season 2 Reportedly Revealed

Production for the second season of The Witcher is currently underway. Aside from making some major changes to the Nilfgaardian armor as well as improving some things that "didn't work" for the first season, showrunner Lauren Hissrich previously revealed that there'll be a "whole new set of fun characters" to be featured in season two, and it looks like fans are finally going to find out who these are.

Thanks to Redanian Intelligence, the casting breakdown for the second season have reportedly been revealed which involves a number of fan-favorite characters. Aside from Nivellen who is said to be played by Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju, there's also the two witchers named Lambert and Coen, who already have actors attached as well.

Of course, it doesn't stop there. There'll be more interesting characters that Geralt will be coming across with. The casting breakdowns include a codename used for each character so as to avoid spoiling anything. However, the site says it isn't hard to decipher which is which based on their descriptions.

Frankie (Francesca) is said to make an appearance on the show, she's the most beautiful woman in the world, she's also intelligent and powerful and is very protective of her child. She will have a lead role and the studio requires an actress between the ages of 20 to 30.

There's also Vesemir, who is presumably well-known by the fans. The part requires a man between the ages of 60-69 in a lead role. Gary will also be a recurring role, who is Francesca's younger brother. There's also Djikstra, Chief of Intelligence and the right-hand of the King. As well as characters Vanessa-Marie, Rience, Lydia, Violet, Vereena, Ithlinne, and Anna.

Although not much is revealed about the second season, the character details revealed by the site show an intriguing storyline and even more of Geralt's epic adventures.
