New Captain Marvel Posters Showcase Talos' Surprising New Look, Goose's Cosmic Connection

We already know that Talos will be the main villain in Captain Marvel and Carol Danvers' cat will be named Goose. However, the new character posters for the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick suggest that Ben Mendelsohn's baddie will have a completely different look and that the adorable kitty might have a cosmic connection.

The new Captain Marvel character posters were revealed by Trends International and put the spotlight on Talos and Goose. Interestingly, the Skrull leader looks very different from the promo image released earlier last year. Check it out below.

The promo image for Talos suggested that the Skrulls would have ridges on their faces but their skin would be somehow smoother. In addition to that, Talos would have a narrow face and a defined chin. However, the poster makes the Skrull look more like a green version of Thanos.

The Goose poster is certainly a lot cooler. It depicts the feline looking alert with a small figure of Captain Marvel. However, you can also see constellations following the cat's outline. Needless to say, fans believe that the poster confirms Goose's cosmic backstory.

Goose is certainly one of the more mysterious characters in Captain Marvel so there is no shortage of theories about the cat. There have even been speculations that the kitty will be the reason why Nick Fury will lose an eye in the MCU flick. We're hoping that there is a more dignified way to lose an eye so we would recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8.
