Netflix's The Witcher Will Feature Geralt's Infamous Bathtub

There's a lot of reasons why people are already looking forward to Netflix's new series The Witcher. After all, it's a highly anticipated adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's books that could also pay tribute to the CD Projekt Red games. So what are the chances that we will see Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia relaxing in a bathtub? Very, very high.

One of the most iconic images of Geralt is undoubtedly a scene from the game The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt where he takes a breather and lounges in a tub. The scene has turned into a meme that also spawned an actual statue so naturally, fans are wondering if Tub Geralt will show up in the Netflix series. Luckily, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich says that people will be pleased.

"There is a bathtub this season. There is a bathtub," Hissrich shared during a press roundtable for the show at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 (via io9). But before you get your hopes up too high, she also refused to confirm if it's Geralt in the tub.

"I won't tell you who's in the bathtub, but there is a bathtub," Hissrich said.

We're certainly hoping it's Geralt because otherwise, what would be the point?

While fans can look forward to a bathtub scene in The Witcher, there's one aspect of the game that will not make it to the series. It looks like Roach will have her feet planted firmly on the ground so don't expect the mare to magically appear on a roof or run around on one leg.

The Witcher is expected to premiere on Netflix this November.
