Netflix's Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Final Trailer, Premiere Date Revealed

It has been a while since we got an update on the Netflix animated series based on Ghost in the Shell. Luckily, there's a final trailer for SAC-2045 and it also confirms the show's highly anticipated premiere date.

The trailer opens with an announcement: Public Security Section 9 has reassembled. We immediately get a shot of The Major declaring that they will capture a mysterious man. Who is it? We don't know that yet, but we may soon find out.

It isn't long before we get several action sequences featuring the members of Public Security Section 9. However, it looks like they are up against someone truly dangerous. At one point, Motoko Kusanagi declares that her opponent isn't actually human. But who is he and why is it so important to take him down?

Ghost in the Shell: SAC-2045 is directed by Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki and also brings back most of the characters from the original manga. For now, there are mixed reactions to the previous trailer but we're already looking forward to the new anime this April.

The synopsis for SAC-2045 reads as follows:

"Ghost in the Shell, a landmark in near-future science fiction, brings together Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki as they present their vision of the year 2045 in Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. Led by full-body cyborg Motoko Kusanagi, Public Security Section 9 once again gets ready to face off against cybercrime."

Ghost in the Shell: SAC-2045 will premiere on Netflix on April 23.
