Netflix Will Celebrate a Week-Long Streaming Geek Event


Netflix announced a new week-long streaming event called "Geeked Week" where fans can expect more content coming out from their favorite shows. Fans will get more information on upcoming shows like The Sandman, The Cuphead Show, and The Witcher. Netflix will release more exclusive news, live art, drop-ins from their favorite stars, and new trailers.

Fans who are interested to check out what is set for the Geeked Week can check out the newly released Netflix poster that includes all the shows that will be included in its new roster. Some of the shows include Resident Evil, The Umbrella Academy, Cowboy Bebop, and Sweet Tooth.

One of the most anticipated offerings from Netflix that is included in the Geeked Week is The Witcher Season 2. The production for The Witcher 2 has been delayed multiple times due to the COVID pandemic. It has recently wrapped up its filming. The series is under the post-production stage and will arrive in the latter part of 2021.

Fans are also excited about Resident Evil on Netflix due to the recently released RE game. Resident Evil: Village garnered a lot of fans which is why fans are excited for the franchise's new content on Netflix.

The event will run from June 7 to June 11. The Verge reported that the week for June 7th will have major news aside from Netflix's Geeked Week. Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference will start on June 7 as well.
