Netflix to Distribute Enola Holmes Starring Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill

Back when news of an Enola Holmes film came out, we were sure that the film was going to have a theatrical release. With the lockdown though, it looks like the film has found a new distribution deal with Netflix.

Here's the announcement:

It would make sense that Netflix would want to release this film, seeing as the film stars two Netflix heavy hitters. The lead role of Enola would be played by Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, and her older brother Sherlock Holmes will be played by none other than Witcher star Henry Cavill.

Other stars attached to the film include Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Holmes and Sam Claflin playing the part of Mycroft Holmes. In the director's chair will be Harry Bradbeer who has worked on shows like Fleabag and Killing Eve.

When Enola Holmes, sister to the detective Sherlock Holmes, discovers her mother has disappeared, she quickly embarks on a journey to London in search of her. But nothing can prepare her for what awaits. Because when she arrives, she finds herself involved in the kidnapping of a young marquess, fleeing murderous villains, and trying to elude her shrewd older brothers--all while attempting to piece together clues to her mother's strange disappearance.

We don't have a release date for Enola Holmes yet, but hopefully the movie comes out on Netflix sometime later this year.
