Netflix Schools Guy for Trying to Shame Brie Larson on Her Directorial Debut

Brie Larson had become an overnight sensation with the release of Captain Marvel, and now Netflix is gearing us up for their release of Larson's directorial debut Unicorn Store. Apparently, some guy thought that Larson didn't deserve to get her own movie made, which pushed Netflix to downright school the person with Larson's achievements.

Larson herself had also noticed the post, and had this to say about Netflix ‘flexing' her achievements for her:

While some may think that Captain Marvel is a tad overrated, Larson has no doubt worked hard to be where she is now. In fact, she was actually doing pretty well before Marvel had decided to give her the MCU celebrity boost. If anything, her getting cast as Carol Danvers only proves that she's a superwoman on and offscreen.

Seeing that CM could be hitting the $1 billion mark any day now, there's no doubt that we're going to be seeing more of Larson in the MCU moving forward. With heavyweights like Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America leaving the picture, a lot of heads are turning to Larson to be the new face of the MCU. Who'll end up leading the New Avengers with her, we don't know yet, but Larson sure has a lot of pressure on her shoulders to deliver one heck of a show.

Catch her in Avengers: Endgame when it comes out April 26. Unicorn Store debuts on Netflix April 5.
