Netflix Forgot Jeremy Renner Had Nothing To Do With Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel fans might have long since known that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye would sit out Avengers: Infinity War but it looks like Netflix missed the memo.

The streaming giant dropped the first installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie during the Christmas holidays, and while a lot of Marvel fans appreciated a healthy dollop of Marvel goodness, some couldn't help nitpick Netflix's presentation of the film.

Not only have fans been busy debating whether or not Netflix was right in branding the Mad Titan Thanos as an "intergalactic sociopath, but" they've also spotted the fun fact that the streaming company listed down Jeremy Renner as part of Infinity War's cast, even though he wasn't in the film. There wasn't a single frame where Hawkeye was present – something which the fanbase whined about during Infinity War's release earlier this year.

Netflix has the main cast and crew of Infinity War listed down in the "details" section of the film, and while it's easy to get lost in the massive cast listing, it's hard not to spot a name that shouldn't be on the page.

While fans might want to read into the credit by cooking up theories that speculate the possibility of Clint actually appearing in the film, the addition of Renner's name in the cast list is nothing but a clear oversight from Netflix. Hawkeye has nothing to do with Infinity War, though we're pretty sure he'll play a major role in Avengers: Endgame next year.

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to premiere on April 26, 2019.
