Netflix's live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series is currently in production, and now, one of the sets are revealed thanks to new behind-the-scenes photos shared online.
The BTS photos of Netflix's highly anticipated Avatar: The Last Airbender series reveal a look at one of the sets in Atlanta, Georgia. First announced in 2018, the live-action series will adapt and reimagine the popular Nickelodeon animated series that followed 12-year-old aibernder Aang, the last remaining hope for the world divided into four nations each named after the classical elements: Air Nomads, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Water Tribes. The animated Avatar series is considered to be one of the greatest animated shows of all time, and with a strong fanbase, the live-action series is expected to be a hit, and hopefully, it won't disappoint like M Night's Shyamalan's The Last Airbender.
Over on Reddit, user Dripmaster926 shared a peek at one of the sets for Netflix's Avatar. The set photos show a green screen backdrop on what appears to be an entrance to what will presumably be a much larger architecture when CGI is added. Based on the coloring and details shown, it looks like the set is meant to create a Fire Nation fortress or some kind of major location within the country.
Netflix is clearly putting a lot of money into Avatar, which reportedly has a budget of $15 million per episode. The detailing on the show's constructed set looks great from even far away. Even though it will be enhanced by CGI, it's nice to see the amount of practicality put into the set.
