Is the New Naruto Anime a Reboot?
The new Naruto anime (2023) will not be a reboot of the original anime series. It will also not be a sequel or a movie that tells yet another inspiring story about Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and their friends.
Instead, the new Naruto anime will be a special four-episode newly-made anime that will be produced in commemoration of the show’s 20th anniversary!
This means that the new Naruto anime will not be around for long and will only be treated as a special anime production to give fans a major treat!
Pierrot, the production studio behind Naruto’s anime adaptations, is working on the new anime. It’s been six years since they worked on Naruto, and fans are anticipating their return!
What Will the New Naruto Anime Cover?
The new Naruto anime (2023) will be set prior to the events of Naruto: Shippuden. This means that Naruto and Team 7 under Kakashi’s direct orders will be back in action!
Perhaps they will go on another dangerous yet interesting mission before Naruto and Sasuke part ways and the events of Shippuden take over.
There is little to no information online about what the new Naruto anime (2023) will cover. But there are circulating rumors that the new anime will have four episodes with a runtime of one hour each!
If this is true, then the new Naruto anime (2023) will have a runtime equal to two movies!
We can only speculate at this point, and we are assuming that a new villain will be introduced that will bring fear and danger to Naruto and the others.
What is certain is that the new Naruto anime (2023) will bring back all the nostalgia!
We will be seeing them in their younger form once again, and we’re pretty sure that all the feelings from back in the day will come back to us!
When Will the New Naruto Anime Be Released?
Originally, the new Naruto anime (2023) was set to be released on September 3, 2023, at 5:30 PM JST. However, the official website of the anime announced that the four-episode anime will be pushed back to improve its quality.
So far, the official website and social media channels of Naruto, as well as Pierrot, have yet to announce a new release date that fans can look forward to.
Instead of showing the new Naruto anime (2023), a selection of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations featuring the best of the series will be aired.
Understandably, the anime’s production wants to give fans the utmost quality of animation for Naruto’s special four episodes because they deserve it.
For the time being, expect to read more news and information prior to the release of the new Naruto anime!
